In recent years, there has been a growing number of adverse outcomes associated with Cosmetic Treatments. The Medical Board responsible for administering Australian Medical Practitioners has changed the guidelines regarding such treatments from Oct 1, 2016. The new guidelines now require all patients undergoing antiwrinkle, dermal filler and laser treatments to receive a consultation with an Australian Registered doctor prior to any treatment. The doctor takes full responsibility for the treatment. A Nurse-only consultation is no longer acceptable. At Nitai, we support this new requirement. In fact we have always operated in this way, putting the safety of our patients first. Our experienced and qualified Cosmetic Doctor will conduct the consultation and perform the treatment to maximise safety and after care should it be required. You can rest assured you will be in safe hands.

At Nitai, our experienced Cosmetic Doctor uses a topical anesthetic gel to numb the area prior to treatment. Furthermore, our dermal filler has an inbuilt local anesthetic which provides very good pain relief during the injection. As a result our patients are very relaxed and comfortable during the treatment procedure and most achieve minimal bruising post treatment. A relaxed patient allows our doctor to achieve precise control during the treatment, which is essential for minimal bruising and a natural looking outcome.

The hollow area between the lower eyelid and the cheeks is called the tear trough. Often tear troughs are genetic rather than due to aging and can occur in the twenties.

Bulges in the lower eyelid area are referred to as Eye bags and can be filled with fat or fluid. With aging, fat in the mid-cheek area shifts away from the lower eyelid. As a result, the lower eyelid looks protruded when compared to the cheek.

Our experienced Cosmetic doctor will inject dermal fillers using a very fine needle or a Canula to minimise bruising. The dermal filler fills the area , thereby giving it ‘volume’ . The dermal filler we use absorbs moisture. In the days after the treatment, regular water intake is recommended. This will allow the treated area to achieve a nice natural looking volume which is desirable. Results from the dermal filler treatment will be seen immediately and continue to improve in the days after the treatment, resulting in a soft, natural outcome.
