Platelet Rich Plasma Treatment for Hairloss
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is a process which extracts platelet cells from the patient’s own blood sample and reintroduces into the body in the targetted areas. The PRP procedure initiates the body’s self healing mechanism to promote production of main structural proteins of the various connective tissues and improvements in the skin texture and tone.
The effect of the treatment continues to improve from about 2 weeks after the procedure and continues between 3 to 6 months. Generally, 2-3 treatments are initially required at 4 to 6 weeks apart. Regular maintenance treatments at six to twelve monthly intervals is recommended to counter the effects of aging.
