As we age, we lose volume in our faces, which is what makes our skin look soft and youthful and adds definition to our face. Cosmetic chin fillers can be used to fill lines and wrinkle, restore lost volume and recreate a chiselled jawline when definition around the chin is lost.
Dermal chin filler treatments have become an increasingly popular option to restore lost volume and definition. They offer long-lasting results without the cost or recovery time associated with plastic surgery.
Although dermal chin fillers, especially temporary fillers, are very safe, it’s essential for a qualified doctor to administer the injections. Dermal filler ingredients bind with water molecules in the skin to increase volume. The injections also stimulate collagen production, which improves the appearance of your skin over the long-term.
Prior to treatment, an anaesthetic cream will be applied to the treated area – this will need several minutes to take effect. While dermal chin filler treatments are not overly painful, the numbing cream just makes your session much more comfortable. Using a tiny needle, Dr Singh will administer several injections. The area will be gently massaged to ensure a smooth and even end result.
The number of injections you’ll require is dependent on your specific requirements but overall, treatments are very quick. Depending on the type of filler used and the area treated, reinforcement treatments are usually necessary to maintain the effect.
As we get older, the skin loses some of its collagen and fat, resulting in flaccid skin, with more noticeable lines and a general loss of definition. Dermal fillers are suitable for those who want to restore youthful volume to the skin, tighten the jawline and create a more defined appearance to their chin and jawline area.
