As we age, our skin loses its ability to produce new collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid, which can lead to unwanted lines and wrinkles. Anti-wrinkle injections can be used to weaken the muscles in the face and in turn reduce those unwanted signs of ageing, without the cost, discomfort or downtime of surgical procedures.
Anti-wrinkle injections have become an increasingly popular option to successfully treat expression lines and wrinkles. Results are long-lasting, giving patients a smooth, youthful and rejuvenated appearance.
How can anti-wrinkle injections be used?
While anti-wrinkle injections are considered very safe, it’s essential that a qualified doctor administer the injections. During treatment, Dr Singh will carefully inject precise doses of a muscle relaxant into the area of concern to block nerve signals and reduce muscular contraction. This leads to the alleviation of existing wrinkle tissue around the targeted muscle and a drastic reduction in new wrinkle formation.
Anti-wrinkle injection treatments are very effective and results can typically be seen within two days. The number of injections you’ll require is dependent on your specific requirements but overall, treatments are very quick. Depending on the type of relaxant used and the area treated, reinforcement treatments are usually necessary to maintain the effect.
As we get older, our skin produces less collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid, resulting in more noticeable lines and wrinkles. Anti-wrinkle injections are suitable for those who want to restore a more youthful complexion and minimise signs of ageing.
